On Guitar "Inspiration"

Harris Jayaraj seems to be going through an "inspiration" phase. This comment is based on the evidence of his Guitar work in his most recent album - Vaaranam Aayiram. It is a popular suspicion that the guitar tack in the album's main anthem sounds very similar to the Guitar track of AC/DC's Love Bomb. Anti HJ people linked the two songs in youtube so much that search results, at one point, showed Love Bomb when you searched for "Adiye Kolluthe" .Regardless, Adiye Kolluthe is a fantastic song and I love it.
However - am I the only one who thinks "Mundhinam" (a song in the Vaaranam Aayiram album ) song's guitar progression is a cut & paste of the one in George Michael's Faith? I heard this song the first time today and it literally screamed "Faith". Faith is a cult classic even in Thamizh Nadu. So I am surprised how HJ/Gautham thought - a perception of "inspiration" might not arise.

And what about Yethi Yethi - The high pitch in the first 4 lines - Lifted from another surya movie - CBI Engey (Poovellaam Kettupaar).

Harris Jayaraj is a proclaimed offender - we all know that . But , lifting it from Yuvan (I won't use the surname for this shameless moron) , he has reached yet another milestone.

And this is the funniest part , HJ "fans" (read : Dudes) actually get offended when his "inspirations" are mentioned . I mean - from when did he get this "cult" following COLON P

Blame it on the dude-effect of Chennai city !

When i heard Adiye kolluthey the first time, I instantly remembered "Enrendrum punnagai" from Alaipayuthey.. Any takers?

When according to you did HJ start this "inspiration" phase. I came to know about this music director only from Kakka Kakka and I don't assume my knowledge of his work to be comprehensive. But, as far as I know from he has had this inspiration thing running from Kakka Kakka.

PS: I have no idea about anti-rasigar mandrams of HJ or otherwise. So, that was interesting to read.

This happens in alot of places all around the world i know it happens wiht alot of rappers in thailand who steal beats off of american or british rappers.

Due to the fact that people are maybe not exposed to this type of music - I mean if i am copying a rock song from a western hit and remixing it in India for an general indian audience who dont exactly hear such songs - how can they know the difference. And also, maybe this westerns dont really know their music is being remade.

I also found a few songs in Europe that are "remade" and sometimes only the music is taken..

Thank you for posting!
